Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have my septic system inspected?
The Virginia Department of Health recommends annual inspections for alternative systems and systems installed after 2011. Conventional systems should be inspected at least every 3 years. However, annual inspections help catch problems early and can save thousands in repair costs.
What’s included in the Premium plan’s emergency service call?
Premium plan members receive one emergency diagnostic visit per year at no additional charge. This includes troubleshooting system issues, checking pump operation, and providing immediate recommendations. Parts and repairs are billed separately with your 10% discount applied.
Do you service gated communities?
Yes, we service gated communities. Please provide gate codes or arrange access when scheduling. An additional $55 fee applies if we cannot access your property due to missing gate codes or locked gates.
When is BOD testing required?
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) testing is required annually for all alternative systems installed after January 1, 2011 per Virginia Department of Health regulations. Our Compliance Plan includes this testing and all required VDH reporting.
Can I cancel my maintenance contract?
Yes, you can cancel your maintenance contract at any time with 30 days written notice. If you’ve prepaid for multiple years, we’ll refund the unused portion calculated at the regular annual rate, minus any discounts received.
