1-year plan that renews each year. No refunds during the plan year. We email a renewal notice 60 days before each renewal, and you can stop the renewal at any time before your renewal date with the Stop my renewal form, by email to info@drainfieldsolutions.com, or by phone. Your plan then ends at the end of the plan year, with your remaining monthly payments still due. The plan price is $39.35 per month and $293.55 for the Site Visit and Activation Fee, with payment processing included.
*$293.55 is due at sign-up and again at each yearly renewal. Payment processing is included in the price; the price is the same for every payment method. No refunds during the contract term. If payments stop, the remaining contract year becomes due. Not available in all service areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have my septic system inspected?
Virginia regulations require alternative systems (systems with a treatment unit) to be visited by a licensed operator at least once a year. Conventional systems have no statewide inspection requirement, but many Chesapeake Bay-area counties require every septic system to be pumped out or inspected at least once every five years. We recommend an annual inspection for every system because it’s the easiest way to catch problems early.
What’s included in the Premium plan’s emergency service call?
Do you service gated communities?
Yes, we service gated communities. Please provide gate codes or arrange access when scheduling. An additional $55 fee applies if we cannot access your property due to missing gate codes or locked gates.
When is BOD testing required?
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) testing is required every 5 years for alternative systems installed on or after January 1, 2011. Our Elite (5-Year) plan includes this testing and all required VDH reporting.
Can I cancel my maintenance contract?
Monthly plans can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. Prepaid plans are non-refundable once the term begins. They are transferable: if you sell your home, the rest of your plan transfers to the new owner.
Can I cancel the Basic Pump-Out Plan?
The Basic Pump-Out Plan is a 1-year plan, and each plan year is a 12-month commitment. We do not cancel the plan or refund payments in the middle of a plan year.
You can always stop the renewal. 60 days before each renewal we email you a notice that the plan renews unless you stop it, with the charges, the date by which you need to act, how to stop the renewal, and a copy of the plan terms. To stop it, use the Stop my renewal form on our Basic Pump-Out Plan Terms page, email info@drainfieldsolutions.com, or call (804) 633-1808 or contact our office, at any time before your renewal date. All of these work the same. Your renewal is stopped when we receive your request, and you do not have to wait for a reply. We will email you to confirm. You do not need to send a letter or speak to a manager.
If you stop the renewal, your plan ends at the end of your current plan year, and it does not renew. Your remaining monthly payments for that plan year are still due. After the plan year ends, the $293.55 Site Visit and Activation Fee and the monthly payments are not charged again.
If your plan ends early, for example because payments stop, the full price of that plan year is due, less what you have already paid. If we never performed your inspection or pumpout, we credit against the amount due the cost to us of the service we did not perform.
If the law gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, we follow the law.
This answer is for the Basic Pump-Out Plan only. Our other maintenance plans have their own terms.
What happens to my plan if I sell my home?
If you sell your home, your plan stays with the property and transfers to the new owner for the rest of the term, which can be a plus when you sell.
